West Blvd Ministry is pleased to announce that our founder Bart Noonan has been recognized by Nextdoor.com, on the first day of National Good Neighbor Month, with their prestigious Good Neighbor Award. The award celebrates those who make positive impacts within their communities. Bart was surprised, to say the least, but especially honored to accept it.
From Nextdoor.com:
After receiving hundreds of nominations, we are thrilled to be recognizing Bart Noonan, founder of West Blvd Ministry in Charlotte. Bart is the epitome of a good neighbor and has an incredible story of perseverance, strength, and faith. Seven years ago, Bart turned his life around after battling a 20 year alcohol and drug addiction. Considering what he wanted his legacy to be, Bart stepped forward into a new life of faith and service to those in need. He founded West Blvd Ministry and began walking with members of his community going through unimaginable hardships.
As a part of Bart’s award, he was given eight VIP passes to the Darlington Xfinity Race to see Justin Allgaier tear up the racetrack. Bart chose to bring along some of his good friends from the West Blvd corridor for a memorable day of fellowship and racing. It was truly a special day for all involved.
Bart and his team at West Blvd Ministry would like to thank all the wonderful people at Nextdoor.com, NASCAR driver Justin Allgaier, and JR Motorsports for not only their kindness and generosity, but helping raise awareness for WBM’s mission.
