West Blvd Ministry had a great time on Saturday participating in the Renaissance West Community Initiative Fair. The RWCI was established to revitalize the Boulevard Homes public housing into a vibrant village called The Renaissance. They use a holistic community redevelopment approach, focusing on multiple critical factors, including mixed-income housing, educational opportunities, youth and adult development programs, health and wellness services, and commercial investment. We are grateful to the RWCI for the opportunity to spread the West Blvd Ministry mission to the families throughout the corridor. For more information on the RCWI, please visit rwci.org.

West Blvd Ministry is happy to support the Bethlehem Center Summer Camp this summer with two interns. The Bethlehem Center’s camp offers arts & crafts, field trips, continued education in mathematics and reading, games, and sports, as well as overnight camps. Children in grades K-12 can participate at no cost to the parents. It’s a great service to the community and we’re pleased to help out. For more info, please visit:

Last Saturday, West Blvd Ministry partnered with the Dilworth Little League for our Home Run Derby and Coat Drive at Freedom Park. We had over 75 contestants in three different age groups (10 and under; 13 and under; 14+). We were delayed a bit from the rain — twice — but that didn’t stop us from collecting coats for our friends and neighbors in the West Blvd corridor. WBM extends its deepest gratitude for the wonderful patience and effort from our team of volunteers, participants, and parents.
